Chocolate covered strawberries are a delicious treat, but did you know they’re also super simple to make? We visited our floral (and fruit) studio to watch them being made and couldn’t help but share how good they look. While chocolate dipped strawberries are great for romantic occasions like anniversaries and Valentine’s Day, I’d like to argue that they’re perfect for any day!
We all know that one of the best parts about the holiday season is decorating! From Christmas trees to holiday lights to menorahs and more, there are SO many ways to make your home festive and welcoming. Of course decorating with holiday flowers is our absolute favorite! I love to add a bit of sparkle during the holidays (especially New Years), and these glitter vases are super easy (and fun!) to make! Friendly advice: try not to throw the glitter everywhere or you’ll spend months cleaning it up . I have taken one for the team and tell you this based on personal experience (you’re welcome).
What is Giving Tuesday, you ask? Giving Tuesday is a day for you to get involved and give back in your community whether its volunteering at a food bank, donating clothing or money, hosting a fundraiser, or another awesome way to give back. In honor of Giving Tuesday, 20% of the proceeds in our special Giving Tuesday collection will go to Smile Farms, a non-profit organization that provides developmentally challenged adults with meaningful work opportunities at local farms, urban gardens, greenhouses and farm stands.
History of Singles’ Day
Singles’ Day began at Nanjing University in China. It was initially called “Bachelor’s Day” since it started out with only young men celebrating the occasion, however, it is now celebrated by both genders. The holiday is celebrated on November 11th (11/11) because of the four single “ones,” and the Chinese name of the holiday, “Guanggun Jie,” appropriately translates to “bare sticks holiday.” The occasion started in the 1990s and has been spread throughout China and beyond. It was created to help stop the negative connotation surrounding the idea of being single, especially in universities. The holiday is celebrated with fun, uplifting activities to enjoy the fun of being single!

A Night on the Town Dancing and Singing Karaoke
